Christie Brinkley

Christie Brinkley or Christie Lee Hudson is an American Super Model who will be best remembered as Billy Joel’s leading lady in his MTV of one of his hits “Uptown Girl” in the 1980’s. Born in Michigan, Christie initially worked as an illustrator in Paris before eventually signing up with cosmetics giant Cover Girl which kicked of her modeling career. Her contract was continually renewed for twenty years after which she found herself signing up with other magazines that included Sports Illustrated where she was known to be among the picked models to don the swimsuit editions.

Christie had a very interesting personal life, owing to the fact that she married four times to well-known personalities. Prior to singer Billy Joel, she was married to such known names that included Moet-Chandon Champagne, Richard Taubman and Architect Peter Cook. Blessed with 2 daughters and 1 son from her marriages, Christie is a religious supporter of animal rights and PETA.

Compared to other super models, Christie never really had her sights set on moving on to the wide screen like other top super models have aspired. The only movie that perhaps came close was one of Chevy Chase’ movies “National Lampoon’ Vacation in 1983 and made some appearances in some sitcoms like “Mad About You”. Opting to follow the conservative route of life, soon after the roster for super models swelled, she focused on doing good causes and personal hobbies like photography and writing where she compiled one of the best-selling fitness books. Outside these, she can be identified with such humanitarian causes and groups such as nuclear disarmament and Make-A-Wish Foundations.
